Johnson City Rugby was founded in 1981 by Englishman Pete Chorlerton. He recruited men from the local community and East Tennessee State University. Johnson City Rugby was back-to-back Midsouth Champions in 2010 and 2011. We have been represented internationally by former and current players who play with USA Rugby South Panthers and the USA Rugby National Team.
When men that have played with Johnson City Rugby come of age and retire, they nestle into a keg of beer and sleep. When the alcohol level gets to the perfect amount they emerge an Old Boy.
We couldn’t be where we are today with out the LEGACY of the Johnson City Rugby Old Boys.
